Philosophy

We believe, each student will gain knowledge through relating (Luke 24:27)  “Then Jesus began to explain everything which had been written in the Scriptures about him. Jesus started with the books of Moses and then he talked about what the prophets had written about him (Simple English Version).”

We believe, children are our heritage and a gift from the Lord (Psalms 127:3). The Bible  teaches that parents and/or guardians of children are to train up their child(ren) in the Lord.  This means to give their children a skill, instruction as well as understanding.

We believe, the heart of this ministry is to prepare children to fulfill their God given purpose and destiny in life. This will be accomplished through spirit-filled discipleship and Christian education. The academy is not designed for academic instruction alone, but teaching children how to pray without ceasing, hearing and responding correctly to God’s voice, and by walking in faith.    This is accomplished through modeling love and obedience to the Rhema  (which is spoken) and LOGOS Word (an expression of thought, concepts and/or ideas) of God. The education of one’s children is a biblical precept and principle and is not to be taken lightly.

Philosophy of Education

“God is beginning of all knowledge and wisdom”

God said, children should be taught to love God and to place Him first in their lives (Deuteronomy chapters 4 & 6). Grace Junior Academy provides a Christ-centered learning environment which serves to train the whole child – academically, physically, and spiritually with skills and knowledge to provide the opportunity for the child to mature into completion in Christ thereby fulfilling his or her purpose in life.

We believe, by teaching our students the Christian philosophy of life, they will be equipped ” . . . not to let anyone capture them with philosophy or misleading theories that can fool them . . . (Simple English Version Colossians 2:8). ” It is through Christian education the students are to come into sound doctrine ” . . . united in the faith and knowledge of the Son of God. We must become a full-grown man, reaching for the greatest potential of Christ (Simple English Version Ephesians 4:13).

We believe, education should be from the Christian traditional approach to give students the best conceivable program and method of studies. The various types of subject matter should work congruently with God’s truth in the different academic disciplines. The purpose of Christian education is to create a frame work within the student’s God given personality to draw out good Christian character.

We believe, that Christian education is the most effective tool a parent or guardian can use to give this instruction. Christian schools assist parents in this charge by enhancing, developing skills, bringing light and understanding to the Truth of God’s Word through education.

We believe, that the classroom approach to be used is the teacher directed (Deuteronomy 6:7) “and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise (Revised Standard Version).”

We believe, each student will gain knowledge through studying (2 Timothy 2:15) “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (King James Version).”

We believe, each student will gain knowledge through recording (3 John 12) “Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true (King James Version).”

We believe, each student will gain knowledge through researching (John 5:39) “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are that which testify of me (King James Version).”

We believe, each student will gain knowledge through reasoning (Acts 24:25) “And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee (King James Version).”

We believe, our graduates will be well prepared to effectively witness for Christ, compete academically, and to display each day the fruit of the Holy Ghost.
